The Space
We pride ourselves in taking the traditional ‘salon’ aesthetic and tearing up the rulebook by curating a truly unique space that is now a reference point for interior design.
BLACC + BLOND’s Slow Hair Space is inspired by the architecture and interior spaces of places where the design is conceptual, stripped back and neutral.
Based on the edge of the most emerging part of the Jewellery District of Birmingham, we’re bringing a touch of modernity and conscious living to our clientele and the area.

We consciously consider the brands we choose to stock in our salon. Haeckels, Form Nutrition and Attire Care are all companies of the highest ethics that fit into our ethos of living a quality driven, sustainable lifestyle.
All product ranges are personally tested and researched upon selection.
BLACC + BLOND is the only Hair Space in Birmingham to stock these brands.

OWNER + Mens Hair Architect
Anil has proved himself countless times as one of the most forward thinking and influential creatives in Birmingham.
From winning awards, to setting trends, Anil has genuinely created his own lane with BLACC + BLOND.
To top it off, he is one of the best male hairdressers about, with over 14 years experience in London and Birmingham.
Due to his limited availability, he is currently not accepting any new clients.
MATTHEW COVE
UNISEX Hair Architect
Matthew Cove brings over 15 years worth of experience in both men’s + women’s hairdressing to BLACC + BLOND.
Having travelled all over the planet, Matthew offers his global experience + technical expertise to all of his clientele.
You simply won’t meet another hairstylist in Birmingham who is as well-rounded as the effortlessly cool Matthew.
GEORGE ISMAEL
MENS Hair Architect
George is 10 years deep into the hair game.
Having originally trained in women’s hair in some of the most prestigious academies in London and Birmingham, his experience has led him to be known as one of the best longer mens hair stylists about.
Don’t make the mistake of labelling him as a one trick pony though. With his huge passion for mens hair, he has developed his all round skillset and is equally adept at shorter hair too.
QUDSIA BATUL
SENIOR Colourist/Stylist
Qudsia has an amazing 15 year career behind her, having worked her way through the renowned Toni & Guy system.
She has a vast skillset in colour and is accomplished at all hair types + textures.

MENS Hair Architect
Tommy has a wealth of experience as a cutter + educator both here and abroad. Which is why he’s such a well rounded stylist.
From classics, to clean fades to modern styles, Tommy has got you covered.
We are extremely proud to announce that we are now a Climate Positive Workforce.
This is achieved through generous monthly donations by Anil, whereby all of his staff members carbon emissions are off-set.

Our colour prices are available to view through our booking system.
BLACC + BLOND offers hair colouring services to all clients, using L’Oréal products.
We recommend you book in a free colour consultation if you’re a new client.
*For all new clients, a skin test is required 48 hours before the appointment for health and safety reasons to test for any allergic reactions.
